Keiss Archery Club was formed early in 2008 to further the sport in Caithness.

It currently runs two sessions a week at Keiss Hall (click for map) catering for beginners and experienced archers alike, and all ages from 18 upwards.

Although the majority of the group use modern recurve bows, there are a few shooting traditional long bows, and occasionally compound and hungarian bows.

We are no longer taking junior members as there wasn't enough interest to justify renting the hall.

New starts will have to contact the club prior to attending to ensure there will be someone available for first time tuition.

Once a suitable level of accuracy has been attained and your own equipment purchased (advice on this aspect is available from our more knowledgeable members if required), you may join the more experienced members from 7:00pm onwards and compete against them in a relaxed and friendly competition.

There is also a Sunday afternoon competition session, again open to those at a reasonable level and having their own equipment, from 2pm - 3:30pm.

Keiss archery is no longer affiliated with the GNAS but we continue to operate by the rules set out in their manual.
